Week of August 21

We are having a great time in class! In math, we have been working on ordinal numbers, odd and even groups, the commutative property, and counting by 2s, 5s, and 10s all the way to 1,000! In reading we have been working on making predictions and using the story elements to help describe the story. I am very excited to have all of your students in my classroom and I know we are going to have a great year.

Just a few things: we will be going to Ross Reserve on September 14th. The price is $2 for the students and $2 for any parents who would like to chaperone. Please have your student return the permission slip as soon as possible, along with the money. We would love to have as many chaperones as possible. For those of you who would like to chaperone, you will need to complete a background check. I would be more than happy to assist anyone who needs help completing the background check.
